Welcome to Barrel Bocas

Hi! I'm Ismael. I grew up in Bocas del Toro and have been surfing the island waves since childhood. I founded Barrel Bocas to share my passion with others and to help my students progress on their journey to becoming better surfers.

Barrel Bocas works together with different hotels and partners for both small and large groups, allowing us to adapt to individual wishes and needs.

Nature, professionalism, and well-being are at the heart of what we do. With respectful coaching and an open atmosphere, we guide surfers of all levels - from their first take-off to mastering advanced techniques. The safety and success of our students are especially important to us.
